Introductions

Hello and welcome to NEO Homeschool Connections! The intent of this page is to create community among homeschool families in northeast Ohio. As a new homeschool mom with a highly intelligent, two-year-old daughter, I am constantly looking for fun and educational ways to engage my daughter's curiosity and help her learn. Unfortunately, I found it challenging to find any singular place where I could easily locate homeschool-friendly activities and businesses in and around northeast Ohio. The lack of connection for homeschool families became my inspiration for this blog.

I want to create a page where homeschool families from across northeast Ohio can find activities and materials, connect with other homeschool families, and locate helpful information for providing their child or children with the best possible home education. For my part in creating this community, I will provide monthly calendars of upcoming homeschool-friendly events for kids ages 3+ as well as publishing one post per week discussing something homeschool related. Topics will include things such as: our favorite homeschool field trips for each school year and curriculum options to consider as well as what curriculum I plan to use each year. I'll try to include photos and links to the materials I'm using in my home, and my hope is to eventually have other homeschool parents share their resources on this page via the comments. I'll also share local businesses and parks that I've found that my daughter and I enjoyed visiting, and of course, I'll share plenty of photos of our adventures.
