Homeschool Happenings

Welcome back readers! I'm so happy you decided to check out my first homeschool happenings post. The intent with these posts is to keep families in the loop about activities and events in the Cleveland area that are either homeschool friendly, or would make an excellent homeschool field trip. This month's post is both late and lacking events for the dates that have already passed, but I intend to post February's homeschool happenings before the start of the month, so stay tuned. All right, with all those details addressed, let's jump right into January's homeschool happenings!

January 1st: HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2025 here we come! :D

January 7th: Book Club @Barberton Public Library [602 W. Park Ave. Barberton, OH] - time: 10:30-11:30 AM - note: weekly activity > occurs every Tuesday through May 6th - ages: 8-12

January 8th: Homeschool Family Day: Winter Wonderland @Greater Cleveland Aquarium [2000 Sycamore St. Cleveland, OH] - time: 10 AM - 5 PM - price: $11 general admission; free for passholders + guests younger than 2 years — ALSO: Art Class w/Mrs. Martin @Stella's Art Gallery [38033 Euclid Ave. T1 Willoughby, OH] - time: 10-11 AM - note: weekly event > occurs also on Wednesday, January 15th, 22nd, 29th - other events available (see link)

January 10th: Homeschool Hang @Adrenaline Monkey [26800 Renaissance Pkwy Cleveland, OH] - time: 1-3 PM - note: weekly event > occurs on Fridays

January 15th: Outdoor Adventures for Homeschoolers @Rocky River Nature Center [24000 Valley Pkwy North Olmsted, OH] - time: 10 AM - 1 PM w/ a different theme for each hour - ages: students in 7th-12th grades - price: $3 for each hour-long class - note: limited spots still available at time of this post — ALSO: Homeschool Happenings: Bones & Skulls [same location] - time: 1-3 PM - ages: students in 1st - 6th grades - price: $10 {call to register} - note: only 4 spots still available at time of this post

January 16th: Homeschool Field Trip Day: Our Cityscape @Cleveland History Center [10825 East Blvd. Cleveland, OH] - time: 10 AM - noon - price: $8 per student; parents + siblings & kids ages 0-2 =free - parking fee: $8 per car - ages: 3-18

January 22nd: Homeschool Explorers: Winter Survival Skills @Wellington Reservation [535 Jones Rd. Wellington, OH] - time: 1 -2:30 PM - price: $3 per child {register by Jan. 21} - ages: 7-12

January 23rd: Homeschool Program @Fire Company Nature Cabin [1498 State Rt. 511 Ashland, OH] - free event - ages: 6-12 {limit 18 registrants} - time: 10 AM - noon

January 24th: Sky Watch Live @Lake Erie Nature & Science Center [28728 Wolf Rd. Bay Village, OH] - time: 7-8 PM - ages: 12+ - price: $15 per person

January 29th: Art for Homeschool Families: Eric Carle @Wadsworth Public Library in the Children's Activity Room [132 Broad St. Wadsworth, OH] - time: 2 PM - ages: all ages welcome
